What is your Cycle Length?

Your cycle length is the number of days from the first day of your period (Day 1) to the day before your next period starts.

It describes how long one full menstrual cycle lasts (not how many days you bleed).

Most people have a cycle length somewhere between 25–35 days, but everybody is different!

How to calculate your Cycle Length?

Count the number of days between the first day of your period (Day 1) to the day before your next period starts...

  1. Mark Day 1 - Day 1 is the first day you start bleeding (not spotting).

  2. Count forward - Count every day until the day before your next period begins.

  3. That total number of days = your cycle length

For example, if your period starts on March 1 and your next period starts on March 29, your Cycle length = 28 days.

What if I have an irregular cycle?

A cycle is considered irregular or unpredictable when the length of the cycle isn’t consistent from month to month or skipping months altogether.

If your cycle is irregular or unpredictable, we recommend following the 28-day cycle protocol. Over time, many customers notice their cycles becoming more regular and beginning to sync with the seed phases as their body responds to the consistent nutritional support. If your cycle naturally shifts, you can always adjust your cycle length later - your body leads the way.

What if my cycle is shorter than 25 days or longer 35 days.

Menstrual health educators and clinicians generally consider cycles that fall within a 25–35 day range to be a sign of a more regular, ovulatory rhythm. When cycles are consistently shorter than 25 days or longer than 35 days, it can indicate that the body is moving through hormonal phases either too quickly or too slowly.

That’s why, in these cases, we anchor the ritual at 25 days or 35 days... not to force your body into a rigid schedule, but to offer a steady, supportive rhythm.

Many people find that with consistent, phase-aligned nutrition, their cycles gradually become more regular and begin to sync more closely with the seed phases over time. As your body finds its balance, you can always adjust, the ritual is meant to support your rhythm, not override it.

Why is it important to tailor seed cycling to your cycle length?

Seed cycling works best when it’s aligned with how long your body naturally moves through each phase of the menstrual cycle because each phases has different hormonal needs.

Tailoring seed cycling to your cycle length helps ensure you’re supporting the right phase at the right time, rather than switching seeds too early or too late.

This phase-aligned approach creates consistency, supports hormone rhythm, and helps your body gradually move toward a more regular cycle that can sync more naturally with the seeds over time.
